So I stopped the dubstep posting for a while but I could only hold out for so long. So back in the building with already blogged about Flux Pavilion, and new additions, Datsik from BC, Canada and Trolley Snatcha, is yet another London dub don. Datsik's Nuke 'Em samples the classic arcade game Wolfenstein and hits you with the heaviest bass you'll ever hear that'll make you bend over back like you got the McDonald's arches from thizzin', and Trolley Snatcha's We Rock The Forest blasts the hardest, crunchiest, and fastest paced dub in your face. So yeah living in LA we are blessed with so many tight ass raves that are put on locally, and this weekend is no exception. Who Loves Random Remixes? Everyone. Duh. (4)

Love your enemy (Birdy Nam Nam),

It's Thursday, and yes it's also Spring Break; time to get debaucherous. I'm going to be gettin' my drank on in Lake Havasu, AZ, hope y'all have a great break too. And today we have yet another installment of everyone's favorite post, Who Loves Random Remixes? This week we got some awesome artists and even better remixes.

Kaskade & Deadmau5 released several songs together and each one was just pure electro-house bliss. Their song Move for Me remixed by Santiago & Bushido morphs the original ambient bliss of it into some fast paced dancing mania. Awesome drop beeteedubs.

Miike Snow is a huge breakout band of 2009 and these Swedes get down. Awesome alternative band that flawlessly blends electroctronic dance aspects into their music. Definitely recommend all of you to check out their self titled debut album. Redial is a DJ who has pumping out some massive remixes, and this one of Silvia (my favorite song of their album) just enhances an already great song.

I don't personally listen to a lot of Massive Attack but I do love Zeds Dead... these guys are just simply massive. Every song and remix they seem to put out just have an even bigger and heavier sound than the last one and this remix sure doesn't disappoint with some serious squelch.

Oh, Crookers, I love you guys so much but I really think your album sucks... no hard feelings though, I'll keep listening to your pure electro shit. This song is why I love them, remixing Secret Handshake's Summer of 98, Crookers put their signature hard electro fidget house sound on it to make this song into an absolute banger.

Thee Bloody Beetroots are probably right behind Deadmau5 for my favorite DJ spot. When I first heard these guys I instantly fell in love with their aggressive synth heavy sound. These guys get the party started and keep it goin' all day and all night. WARP was argueably 2009's biggest electronic song and it was remixed by everyone and their momma... but R3SET's remix is just too good of a chune to not check out. So peep it.

Ok Nerdz... Let's go to COMPUTER CLUB.

I said ayyyyyyy yo,

Whatsup folks. So today we got this chubby guy with the Rusko mohawk, and at first glance he isn't the most attractive guy but goddamnit does he make some blaps. So if you didn't know, now you know, Computer Club, is a one man wrecking crew; producing, DJing, composing.His sound is agressive, loud, in-your-face hard house splashed with some electro funk. Losing Streak is an amazing song and the hook is catchy as shet, betch, and I got hooked from my first listen. Wired All Wrong is an electronic rock group from Cali, haven't heard much from them, but this remix is supersonic. Listen, download, whatever, just keep fighting the good fight.

Oh Em Gee. Da mau5 is the shit and this song is just another reason why, this is an oldie but sweet, and this is definitely one of the best songs Deadmau5 has made in my humble opinion (my homie A-Stack would argue Arguru is the dopest shit ever), but then again what song hasn't he made that is just ridiculously good?... that's right couldn't name one. Just thee most outstanding electro house ever. Bold statement, I know, but I'm gonna stick with it. So if you haven't heard already, get on your electro-grind and get these tracks.

The Temper Trap + Wobble = Schweet.

Giving up the gun (Vampire Weekend),

Short post. Awesome song. The Temper Trap is this bodacious band from da down unda and these guys really rift. Hypnotic melodies and fantastic falsetto makes this band a must listen too. And I've already posted about Doorly... this UK dubstep don keeps crankin' out dubstep remixes to some great songs, and this one doesn't disappoint. The intro flawlessly combines Deadmau5's The Reward is Cheese with The Temper Trap's Sweet Disposition (one of my favorite songs out) and then just drops with some computer funky mega wobble -- it's definitely on some other shit but I love it. I Wanna Rave till THE SUBS Blow Out

It's THURSDAY! What time is it? Party time. This Friday I'm going to go see STS9 (a sick ass jam band, but so much more) @ the Wiltern and I've heard great things about the venue, and I frankly think STS9 is super dank, so I can't wait to see these dudes live in action just rock out. But back to this electro shiet, these Belgian DJs known as The Subs have been putting out hard hitting electro-techno that's so rave friendly you'll just want to just keep movin' to the beat. Their original mix From Dusk Till Dawn is a rave favorite and for sure gets the crowd riled up. And their new release Mistubitchi has been blazin' the charts, and Bobermann's [a.k.a Bob Rifo of The Bloody Beetroots] remix makes the original go THAT MUCH harder... like that was possible, but it is. So a little too much drinkin' and smokin' and not enough taking care of the body has resulted in an overall shittiness in well being and blog posting... boo, I know. So even though it's super late, I've decided to create a Coachella mega-post previewing all of the electronic artists (minus Erol Alkan and Major Lazer [WHO SUCK!]), so you can decide which ones to check out further and which ones you actually want to spend the time listening to during the day. Coachella is in our backyard in Indio, CA, and for anyone even sort of, partially, may be considering going... YOU SHOULD GO, end of story. Awesome line up, and why do you even need an excuse to spend three days raging and listening to some of the sweetest bands in the land? The answer is, you don't, so hope to see all y'all there!

Yummy GRUMmy Goodness

So I thought y'all would like the extra mid-week electro and I would like to introduce GRUM. Some of you might know him and if you don't well that's cool too, and hopefully you'll hear a couple hidden gems you haven't caught yet. This kid represents the original, machine 8-bit beeping electronic. You won't hear any other DJ pumpin' out pure robot-lovin' techno. I recommend the VERY hard remix of Kings of Leon's On Call. (KoL one of my favorite non-electro artists bteedub). And also, Friendly Fires is a great alternative-dance group from the UK and GRUM's remix is PURE DISCO awesomeness. Doorly & Dubstep

I'M walking on a dream (Empire of the Sun),

So I know everyone missed the dubstep as did I, thus I made sure to bring a healthy dosage of wompage while keeping it classy with some very nice remixes done by dubsteppin' Doorly. This lad hails from the UK which isn't a surprise with all of the other dubsteppers from the land of original imperialism.. hah? Jokes aside, the two remixes of original songs done by Calvin Harris and Basement Jaxx, were already dance floor heaters, but Doorly has put his dubstep touch on both of these tracks just taking them to another level. The Calvin Harris remix is emersed in machine-screaming wobble while cutting up the original beat in style, and the Basement Jaxx remix has just got that extra awesomeness factor with the addition of Doorly's heavy dubstep synths. Enjoy these tunes and keep those limbs and necks loose for that wibbity wobble goodness.

Solar Symphonies w/ Dan Black & Cudder

We are your friends (Justice),

Soooooo you know when you hear a song and you THINK it's going to be reeeeal shitty but you give it a chance and turns out to be one of the dopest songs you've heard in a while? Well that's what happened to me when I heard Dan Black's Symphonies (Remix ft. Kid Cudi). Right when the song starts those hi-hat drums start pounding... just like in that damned song Umbrella by Rihanna. Try sleeping to that song on repeat on blaring loudness (I shudder when I think about hell week), but anyways once you get past the initial drums an orchestra appears out of nowhere and transforms this song into eletronica bliss. And having Cudder rap on your remix isn't bad for publicity either. Check it out, listen, download, whatever.

Enough is enough, thus I've decided to curtail the dubstep posts (sorry dubsteppers, it's only for a while) and show some awesome remixes to some random songs. We got a remix from 2009's breakthrough band and on top of everyone's album of the year list (Merriweather Post Pavillion), ANIMAL COLLECTIVE. Awesome band, if you didn't catch their album I recommend definitely picking it up and giving it a listen.
