Who loves Random Remixes? Everyone. Duh.

Let your love grow tall (Passion Pit),

Enough is enough, thus I've decided to curtail the dubstep posts (sorry dubsteppers, it's only for a while) and show some awesome remixes to some random songs. We got a remix from 2009's breakthrough band and on top of everyone's album of the year list (Merriweather Post Pavillion), ANIMAL COLLECTIVE. Awesome band, if you didn't catch their album I recommend definitely picking it up and giving it a listen.

Another remix that I decided to post is a golden oldie with a hard new twist. Robin S.'s Show Me Love was an absolute ginormous hit and Afrojack's remix makes a great song that much better with a much needed electro-hard house feel.

John. Roman. This kid from T-Dot (Toronto) has made pulsing electro-hard house for the past year or so and every song and remix he has put out has such a edge to them that you can tell it's a John Roman song. Here's a remix he did of Boys Noize's Kontact Me.

Kid Cudi's "Man On The Moon: The End Of The Day" was one of the biggest albums of 2009, and Steve Aoki's remix of Pursuit of Happiness has got to be one of the most massive synth heavy party tunes that I have ever heard. Play this song at full volume and tell me you and your homies won't be dancing.

Royksopp is a Norwegian electronic duo that burst onto the scene during 2009 as well with their acclaimed drop "Junior". This remix is paralyzing with its driving bass, and Boys Noize is one of the dirtiest DJs out there right now and this remix shows why...

And last but not least, yet another break out band of 2009 was The XX and this remix of their song Shelter by little known Death to the Throne is an absolute dance hit. Sounds nothing like the original and but still captures the essence of the original while putting an electronic twist on it.

Peace,
20thetruth
